Joined last season from Rangiuru, “Rollo” is much more settled this term and looks like capitalising on his elegant and slick style at outhalf where the New Zealander may also be tasked with placekicking. Suspension rules him out for a number of crucial early fixtures.

Much of Buccaneers’ aspirations this season may depend on “Brucey” for the scrumhalf who joined from Loughborough College after experience with Northampton Saints is a vital cog in the midlanders squad, particularly if he demands more of his pack. Pacey, he has played with both Ireland and Exiles Sevens, and was selected on the AIB Club International squad last season.

His non-stop endeavours endear him to the club’s supporters and also earned him selection on the “AIB League team of the year” as well as being named “Westmeath Independent Rugby Sportstar” in 2003.
